Wire Rope Heavy Duty Thimble

Gostern Heavy Duty Wire Rope Thimble is a protective fitting designed to prevent wear, abrasion, and deformation of wire rope eyes in slings, winch lines, and rigging assemblies. When a wire rope is formed into an eye and connected to a shackle, hook, or pin, the thimble provides a smooth, rounded bearing surface that maintains the natural shape of the eye and protects the rope from crushing and fatigue failure . Available in hot dip galvanized carbon steel for general corrosion resistance or 304 stainless steel for marine and corrosive environments . Sizes from 1/4" to 2-1/4" wire rope diameter.

This G414 Heavy Duty Thimble features a split oval (teardrop) design with thicker material construction compared to standard thimbles, offering greater load-bearing capacity and longer service life. The thimble is inserted into the wire rope eye and swaged or spliced in place to ensure a secure fit . Manufactured in compliance with Federal Specification FF-T-276b Type III, DIN 6899, and EN 13411-1 standards . Widely used in wire rope sling assemblies, crane hoist lines, winch cables, marine mooring, and general industrial rigging.
