Gostern PVC Coated Wire Rope Sling with Thimble Eye is engineered for lifting applications where load surface protection is critical. This sling features a galvanized steel wire rope core fully encapsulated in a smooth PVC (polyvinyl chloride) coating , providing excellent protection against scratches, abrasion, and surface damage to delicate, painted, or finished loads . Both ends are terminated with drop forged steel thimbles that prevent the wire rope from fraying and provide a permanent, wear-resistant eye for secure hook attachment .

This Vinyl Coated Wire Rope Sling offers the strength of steel wire rope with the surface protection of a soft, non-marring PVC jacket . The PVC coating also provides good chemical resistance to oils, greases, and mild acids, as well as weather resistance for outdoor applications . The thimble eye design protects the wire rope at the point of connection, significantly extending sling life by preventing direct metal-to-metal contact between the rope and lifting hooks . It is widely used as Plastic Coated Lifting Sling in automotive and manufacturing plants, as Non Marring Wire Rope Sling for handling polished metal parts, as Painted Surface Protection Sling for finished goods and painted equipment, and as Wire Rope Sling with Thimble Eye for general lifting where surface protection is required . Available in wire rope diameters from 3mm to 16mm , with working load limits (WLL) ranging from 80 kg to 2,200 kg depending on rope diameter and configuration . The PVC coating is firmly bonded to the wire rope and will not slip under normal use .
