Gostern 6×37 Galvanized Steel Wire Rope is manufactured from high quality carbon steel with excellent tensile strength, superior flexibility and outstanding fatigue resistance. This rope features 6 strands of 37 wires each (6×37) , with a large number of fine wires per strand providing exceptional flexibility and bending fatigue resistance . Available with FC (Fiber Core) for maximum flexibility and shock absorption or IWR (Independent Wire Rope) core for increased strength, crushing resistance and stability in multi-layer spooling . Available in galvanized (zinc coated for corrosion resistance) or ungalvanized (bright) finish .
This General Purpose Lifting Rope is widely used as Extra Flexible Steel Wire Rope for overhead cranes and hoists, as FC Core Hoist Cable for general factory lifting, as Marine Grade Galvanized Cable for shipboard cranes and mooring lines, as Crane Wire Rope for mobile cranes, and as Dragline Cable for excavators and draglines . Available in diameters from 6mm to 60mm , with Grade 1570 MPa to 1960 MPa tensile strength options . The 6×37 construction offers an excellent balance of flexibility, strength, and wear resistance, making it the most versatile and widely used general purpose wire rope .
Working Load Limits (WLL) : Recommended WLL is typically 1/5 to 1/6 of minimum breaking force depending on application and safety factor requirements.
Important Note: Do not exceed recommended working load limits. Regular inspection for wear, broken wires, and diameter reduction is required. For single layer spooling, FC core is recommended; for multi-layer spooling, IWR core offers better crush resistance.
We support Custom Length Steel Cable, OEM, ODM and custom drum winding services.
*Note: Min wire breaking force sum = min wire rope breaking force x 1.249 (fiber core) or 1.336(steel core).
