Double Leg Bridle Steel Wire Rope Sling
Gostern Double Leg Bridle Steel Wire Rope Sling is engineered for balanced lifting of long or elongated loads using two attachment points. This bridle sling features a common master link at the top for connection to the crane hook, and two wire rope legs each terminated with hooks, shackles, or eyes for load attachment . The bridle (double leg) design provides excellent load stability for long loads such as steel beams, pipes, concrete piles, and heavy machinery, preventing load rotation and enabling safe, level lifting . Available in pressed (swaged) or hand spliced construction, with galvanized or ungalvanized (bright) finish .
This 2 Leg Bridle Sling is manufactured from high quality 6×37 or 6×19 wire rope , providing an excellent balance of flexibility and strength. The master link is forged from high-strength alloy steel, ensuring reliable connection to the lifting hook. The bridle configuration allows the sling to self-center on the load when properly rigged, distributing the weight evenly between the two legs . Each leg length can be customized to match specific lifting requirements, and the included angle between legs can be adjusted within safe limits to accommodate different load widths . It is widely used as Double Leg Bridle Wire Rope Sling for lifting steel beams and structural steel, as Two Leg Bridle for Lifting Beams in construction and fabrication, as Wire Rope Bridle Sling with Master Link in manufacturing and shipbuilding, and as Galvanized Double Bridle Sling for outdoor and marine applications . Available in wire rope diameters from 6mm to 32mm , with standard leg lengths from 1m to 10m (custom lengths available) , and working load limits (WLL) ranging from 560 kg to 9,500 kg per leg , with total sling capacity dependent on the included angle between legs .
Bridle Sling Capacities (Total Sling WLL) :
Vertical Lift (0° included) : 2 × single leg WLL
30° Included Angle (60° from vertical) : 1.73 × single leg WLL
45° Included Angle (67.5° from vertical) : 1.41 × single leg WLL
60° Included Angle (75° from vertical) : 1.0 × single leg WLL
90° Included Angle : 0.71 × single leg WLL
Termination Types:
Pressed (Swaged) : Aluminum ferrule, compact, smooth, 90-95% efficiency
Hand Spliced: Traditional hand tucking, flexible, 80-90% efficiency
End Fitting Options:
Hooks (吊钩) : Slip hooks, grab hooks, eye hooks, swivel hooks, foundry hooks
Shackles (卸扣) : Bow shackles, dee shackles
Eyes (眼型) : Soft eyes, thimble eyes
Combinations: Mixed fittings on each leg as required
Bridle Sling Advantages:
Balanced lifting: Even load distribution between two legs
Self-centering: Automatically centers on load when properly rigged
Prevents load rotation: Ideal for long, narrow loads
Versatile: Suitable for beams, pipes, concrete piles, machinery
Cost-effective: Simple, reliable design
Common Applications:
Steel beams and structural steel erection
Pipe and tube handling (steel, concrete, PVC)
Concrete piles and precast concrete elements
Heavy machinery and equipment moving
Shipbuilding (long hull components)
Construction material lifting
Steel mill (slab, billet, bar handling)
Log and timber lifting
Important Usage Guidelines:
Ensure both legs are properly attached to the load before lifting
Position master link directly above load's center of gravity
Do not exceed the rated capacity for the specific included angle
For included angles over 60°, capacity is significantly reduced – use longer legs or spreader bar
Ensure both legs are of equal length for level lifting
Inspect master link, wire rope, and end fittings before each use
Protect wire rope from sharp edges using edge protectors
Regular inspection per ASME B30.9 standards
Replace sling if wire rope shows broken wires, kinking, or severe corrosion
Store slings in dry, clean area when not in use
We support Custom Length Bridle Sling, OEM, ODM and various end fitting configurations to meet different lifting requirements.
Specifications
Rope length: customized
Material: carbon steel, stainless steel
Surface: Bright(ungalvanized), Galvanized, PVC coated
Application: lifting, construction, industrial
End parts: lifting hook, shackle, etc
With different construction of the wire rope with different working loads, we can calculate the working load according to the specification of the steel wire rope which the customer required.
Both ends of fittings with safety factor 4:1 and other parts' safety factor is 5:1.

Advantages
The lifting ends of the wire rope legs can be fitted with a variety of hooks, eyes, or rings to allow attachment to nearly any object. These are designed for general lifting when the attachment can be made directly to the load. Wire Rope Slings are constructed of strong, high-quality steel that is resistant to corrosion, heat, sunlight, and most chemicals.
