Gostern Pressed Wire Rope Sling with Soft Eyes is engineered for lifting applications where metal fittings cannot contact the load or where a compact, snag-free termination is required. This sling features wire rope terminated with pressed aluminum ferrules forming soft, flexible eyes (loops) without metal thimbles . The soft eyes are created by folding the wire rope back and securing it with a swaged aluminum ferrule, creating a compact, smooth, and flexible termination that will not scratch or damage delicate load surfaces .

This Swaged Wire Rope Sling Soft Loop offers the strength of a pressed termination (90-95% of wire rope breaking strength) with the flexibility and load-protective benefits of a soft eye. The soft loop can be easily placed over hooks, shackles, or crane blocks without the need for additional hardware, and will conform to the shape of the attachment point for improved load distribution . The pressed ferrule creates a permanent, tamper-proof termination that will not loosen under normal use .
